you can no longer wall up the left side of the memorial. You can walk along the bottom and up the right. There is an “unobstructed“ view at the top. the right side has a path that allows you to see the mountain face wall clearly and the soldiers through chain link. The linden trees are gone and the fountain is walled off. Also, the number of “dead” is no longer there. Only the missing /captured/wounded....

I visited the Korean War Memorial last night. It looks like it is basically finished. The following is what I observed in my brief time there. The sidewalks at the Memorial have been widened, bring us closer to the statues on both sides. The names of those killed in action are listed by the branch of the military in which they served. Also included are the names of the Koreans that were in with the US units. The names then are listed alphabetically by rank. The names are in a long semi-circle surrounding the pool of water by the flagpole. The Nations that fought in the War now are separated by the United Nations symbol. Nicely done.
