For families whose ancestors fought in the first world war, this has been decades in the making. Those heroes are being remembered and honored in a special way, and in downtown D. C. they will now never be forgotten. A new memorial is being dedicated this morning. Until now, it is the only major war from the 20th century that did not have a national memorial in the nation’s capital.
