Hey Y'all!

My sister is nearing 30 weeks in her pregnancy with her 4th baby- Olivia Mae. For a few months they've been really watching the baby because of different concerns, but a few weeks ago they realized her heart is not ok. We've been praying for a miracle for this little life as half of her heart is not functioning giving her a very low chance of making it to birth. Today, my sister Jeni and her husband Jason had another full check-up where they found that there is fluid around Olivia's heart signaling that she has started heart failure.

Doctors are hoping to try some kind of intervention but they cannot until she is 36 weeks- and even that has only about a 10% chance of helping.

My family as a whole is absolutely devastated but Jeni and Jason are in desperate need of prayer along with their 3 kiddos.

I so appreciate the number of prayer warriors that I know are present in this group!

Sorry I haven’t shared an update sooner. This has been the hardest rollercoaster I’ve ever been on. Since my initial post, Children's Hospital in Milwaukee has taken their case for a possible heart transplant which brought a lot of hope! Especially when the specialist there was very pleased at how strong Olivia’s BPP’s have stayed. Last Thursday, however, Olivia failed her BPP. Her heart failure has progressed and begun to affect her umbilical cord and she has edema in her legs. The hospital panicked and urged Jeni to go to Milwaukee for an emergency delivery but Milwaukee told her to stay— but for a miracle, Olivia had days left. Today she is 32 weeks which is a miracle!

So prayer update- Jeni has another appointment on Thursday and she is terrified. The news isn’t getting better and she’s emotionally and mentally exhausted. Olivia needs to keep moving.

We’re praying for a miracle because if she makes it to next Tuesday, Milwaukee will deliver her and possibly attempt intervention. My whole family (I’m 1 of 7 kids) is hovering in this unknown- supporting Jeni and Jason as best we can.
