The office team is praying diligently for the road team! They are feeling your prayers for them too! Together, we are standing strong.
A beautiful devotional today for all of us from Judy Mandl:
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; (Colossians 4:2 NASB)
Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2 AMPC)
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2 ESV)
Always maintain the habit of prayer: be both alert and thankful as you pray. (Colossians 4:2 Phillips)
Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude. (Colossians 4:2 The Message)
Diligent, alert, thankful. That is Paul's admonition for how we should pray. Prayer is to be our habit. We are to be devoted to it. We are to tirelessly persevere.
We are to be alert in our prayers, watchful to what is going on in the world around us so that we can bring the needs we see to God.
We are to be thankful in our prayers. Thankful for who God is. Grateful for what God has done. Overwhelmed with gratitude that we can come to the One who created and sustains the universe.
Diligent. Alert. Thankful. I confess, those words do not always describe my prayer life. Let's aks the Holy Spirit to help us grow in these aspects of prayer.
