JOB DESCRIPTION
An ACTS Education Program Leader (EPL) guides educational travel experiences in collaboration with Christian schools nationwide. EPLs are dynamic, personable individuals who bring history to life through compelling stories and academic insights—always framed within a biblical worldview. They inspire participants to consider how their lives can have a lasting, eternal impact.
Participants come from diverse backgrounds and age groups, with middle school students making up the majority. Program destinations span key historical and governmental sites, including the Eastern Seaboard (from Boston to Colonial Williamsburg) and various state capitals such as Austin, Sacramento, and Springfield.
This is a part-time, seasonal role, with peak travel periods occurring from February to June and September to November.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Have a passion for biblical worldview, history, and working with youth

Maintain order with safety as the primary priority

Navigate airports, hotels, restaurants, and attractions with a large group – up to 55 people.

Disseminate accurate information

Present and engage participants in a friendly, winsome manner

Maintain accurate, detailed records

Comply with company guidelines

Skills and Knowledge

College degree
-
Able to communicate with a broad audience (public speaking)

Able to work diplomatically with people from all backgrounds

Enjoy working with and teaching middle school students

Able to think clearly and make sound decisions in various high-pressure environments

Working and growing knowledge of American history

Working and growing knowledge and application of the biblical worldview

Able to work when needed, primarily February - June

Able to tolerate extended periods of walking - up to 8 miles a day

Able to tolerate a rigorous schedule with little downtime/personal time

Able to tolerate high levels of social engagement for consecutive days

Primary hiring seasons: July-November / busiest tour season February-June.
