Your safety is our top priority.
Safety is a major concern for American Christian Tours.  Since our founding in 1984, we have provided secure, safe programs to concerned educators and parents like you.  American Christian Tours knows that as educators and parents look at taking their children and students on a tour, safety is primary.  At ACTS, our office staff are parents too.  We understand how important it is for safety to be number one.  When we plan a tour for your children, our own children are on our minds.  We use the mind and the heart of a parent in all we do.

Here are some of the ways that we work to provide your group with a safe and enjoyable educational tour program:

Program Planning
ACTS takes time to research each vendor, restaurant and hotel.  There are a set of guidelines we go through when choosing places to include on our tour program that provide our participants with a high level of quality and safety.  We look for hotels that have high standards of safety and request that all pay-movies be disabled. We also choose motorcoaches that provide trained drivers, safe and comfortable equipment, and we follow all government guidelines with regards to motorcoach hours and procedures.

Our professional staff of Education Program Leaders have been background checked, licensed and trained to always be aware of their surroundings as they lead your group.  They will use crosswalks and walk the group to the right on sidewalks and stairways.  They will not allow students to do things like creative aerial jumps off of marble steps at the Lincoln Memorial --first, because it is dangerous; second, because it is disrespectful.  Safety is their main concern.

Trip Orientation
At the beginning of the tour, our ACTS Education Program Leader will provide the group with an orientation that includes a number of important safety announcements.  One of our main themes is that students are never to be alone; they always need to be in a group with an adult chaperone.  It is one of the things that we potentially will send a student home for -- we take it that seriously.

ACTS Badges
Each program participant is provided with an ACTS badge and lanyard that must be worn throughout the entire tour.  It provides each person with our toll-free number and allows a participant to access our ACTS office and response personnel 24 hours a day.

Each ACTS program provides a number of chaperones for every so many students registered.  The exact number varies with each program and the organizer, but always provides a responsible ratio of adults that will be assigned to groups of students.

Hall Security
ACTS hires bonded and licensed security chaperones to ensure the safety and security of our program participants at night in the hotels we use.  These chaperones will monitor your hallways making sure that you have a good night of rest from evening until dawn the next day.

Doctors on Call
ACTS has worked to provide doctors on call that can come to our hotels, if necessary, to provide medical care.  This service is available at the major cities that we visit.  Your EPL is also provided with emergency contact information to hospitals, clinics, etc.

Your Money is Safe Too!
Choosing to make the investment to have a student participate in an education program is a decision that many educators and parents take seriously.  They want to know that their hard-earned money is going to be protected and not lost prior to their student experiencing all the program has to offer them.  American Christian Tours takes this investment seriously.  We are pleased to offer solid finanacial protection.
