*Family of Four Rate

A family of four (which must include one child between the ages of 5 - 17), may stay in one room for only $2566.  This is an inclusive price minus the cost of transportation to and from the trip origination and ending points.


+Child Under 5 Free
A child under 5 years of age (at the time of the start of the tour) is able to travel free with a paying adult.  The child does not count towards quad occupancy.  The child also must be registered as a passenger.

Solo Travel
Solo travel is not accepted on ACTS Family Tours unless travelling as part of a family group (unless this tour is open to ACTS Adult Tours also.)  This tour is open to ACTS Adult Tours.

SAMPLE PROGRAM ITINERARY

Washington Weekender - March 2022

Day One – March 18

After you and your family arrive in Washington, D.C., you will need to meet at the designated location.  Here you will join the other tour participants and your ACTS Program Leader aboard the luxury motor coach.

A photo stop visit to the White House and a visit to the White House Visitor Center will be the first stops in our nation's capital city. We then visit Ford’s Theater and the Peterson House across the street where Abraham Lincoln died.

The evening starts off with a Welcome Dinner, and a visit to the Jefferson Memorial.

You then will be checked into your included accommodations.

Highlights:
White House Photo Stop/ White House Visitor Center, Ford’s Theatre/Petersen House, and Jefferson Memorial.

Day Two – March 19

We spend this morning visiting Capitol Hill.  We start with a photo stop in front of the United States Supreme Court, then visit the Library of Congress and the Visitor's Center of the U.S. Capitol with time to visit the public galleries and exhibits.

After lunch, we will visit the National Archives to see the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.

Later this afternoon, we visit the World War II Memorial and plan to ride to the top of the Washington Monument for some amazing views of the city.

Following dinner, we will visit the Lincoln Memorial which is flanked by the Vietnam and Korean War Veteran's Memorials before returning to our hotel.

Day Three – March 20

This morning, we visit the Mount Vernon Estate, home of George and Martha Washington.  You will be able to tour not only the mansion, but also the grounds - seeing the tomb of the Washington’s, and also the museum and education center.

This afternoon our theme is sacrifice as we visit Arlington National Cemetery. We will view the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. We then visit the nearby Iwo Jima (Marine Corps) Memorial.

This evening, after dinner, we will visit the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.

Highlights:
Mount Vernon Estate, Arlington National Cemetery, Marine Corps Memorial, MLK Jr. Memorial.

Day Four – March 21

This morning we tour the Museum of the Bible enjoying an immersive and personalized experience exploring the history, narrative, and impact of the Bible in the world's most technologically advanced museum.

We then have free time to explore on our own some of the famous Smithsonian Museums that line the National Mall.

The motorcoach will return us to our designated departure spot for our return trips back home.

Museum of the Bible and various Smithsonian Museums.
